DIY American Girl Vase

Hi everyone! *waves* How’s life? Well, I’m finally here with a craft! Today we will be making vases and flowers for your AG dolls!

Materials Needed:

• 3oz spray/mister bottle
• blue mini cups
• green straw
• tissue paper
• pony beads
• black craft paint
• hot glue

Tips:

• I found my cups at the dollar store in the seasonal party isle in the summer. The cups I used were for a luau party.
• Make sure you have the kind of spray bottle that can fit snugly into your mini cup.
• If you have black pony beads, you don’t have to paint your beads. I just didn’t have any on hand at the time.
• You can decorate your vase with puffy paint if you want.

To start, take your bottle and remove the lid. (I know, pretty obvious.)

Now take one of your cups (or any random cup) and fill it with the beads. Mix black or gray paint in with them, completely covering the beads.

Once the beads are dry, pour them into your blue cup up to about the halfway mark. Hot glue them in.

Now take your straw and cut off just enough to stick out of the bottle but not enough to flop over. Depending on the size of your bottle, this should be at about the place where the flexible part starts.

Now take your tissue paper, and cut a square about 8″ x 8″. Fold it in half, then in half again, and so on until your folded square is about an inch and a half wide.

Round part of it to make a quarter circle.

Unfold.

Slide the tissue paper onto the straw.

Hot glue it in place.

Now add hot glue to the center, and fold the rest up around it.

Now glue your bottle inside the cup, on top of the beads. This makes it look like there is water and decorative rocks in the vase.
